Web Development
How long does a custom web development project take?
Short answer
A marketing site takes 4–6 weeks. A web application with accounts, payments and an admin area takes 8–16 weeks. An eCommerce build with catalogue search and integrations takes 6–12 weeks. Most overruns come from unclear requirements and slow feedback, not from engineering time.
These ranges assume one thing: someone on your side can make decisions within a couple of days. The single largest cause of a project taking twice as long is a decision sitting unanswered for a week while the team works around it.
We build in weekly cycles ending in something you can click, which surfaces misunderstandings while they are cheap to fix rather than at the end.
Integrations are the usual schedule risk. A payment provider, a CRM, or a legacy system with undocumented behaviour can quietly add weeks. We audit those in week one rather than discovering them in week eight.
